Ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical assets through hands-on expertise, team coordination, and sound technical knowledge. Plays a key role in shutdowns, upgrades, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance, aligning all tasks with engineering standards and plant requirements. | | | | Key Responsibilities |  | | | | | | | - Plan and coordinate preventive, corrective, predictive maintenance and troubleshooting activities for plant critical electrical assets, i.e., 11-kV generators, motors, distribution transformers, HT/LT switchgear, protection relays, MCCs, and UPS systems, ensuring timely inspections and servicing.
- Lead and supervise planning and execution of electrical projects and maintenance activities.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems or equipment.
- Coordinate with internal departments and contractors during plant shutdowns and critical maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, permit systems, and risk assessments for all electrical work.
- Prepare work scopes, technical specifications, checklists, and ensure quality control during job execution.
- Prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for new electrical projects, system upgrades, or modification works.
- Maintain and update documentation including SLDs, cable schedules, motor lists, and update records in ERP systems.
- Identify improvement opportunities and propose modifications to enhance electrical system performance.
Technical Expertise: - Strong hands-on experience with transformers, HV/LV motors, circuit breakers (VCB/ACB), MCCs, relays, switchgear panels, and power distribution systems.
- Skilled in working with 11kV, 3kV, and LT equipment in process plant environment.
- Proficient in testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of protection relays, UPS, battery banks, control panels, etc.
- Familiar with cable laying, termination, jointing, and tray/trunking installations.
- Experience in operating and using tools such as insulation testers, clamp meters, thermal cameras, relay test kits, cable fault locators, and other modern-day electrical testing tools.
- Working knowledge of motor starters (DOL, Star-Delta, Soft Starters, VFDs) and energy monitoring systems.
- Capable of coordinating with OEMs/vendors for technical support, refurbishments, and upgrades.

- Able to work independently under pressure and during emergencies or shutdown conditions.
