Job Summary
We are looking for a Machinery Mechanical Engineer to oversee the machinery area at our Ammonia Plant. Ensure efficiency, reliability, quality, and safety of plant equipment and personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure HSE compliance and good housekeeping as per company policies.
Manage human and material resources efficiently; coach and develop staff.
Coordinate maintenance schedules with Operations and Planning teams.
Prepare and implement preventive maintenance and job plans.
Monitor and manage spare parts inventory and initiate timely procurement.
Maintain rotary equipment: compressors, turbines, pumps, blowers, gearboxes.
Support maintenance of stationary equipment like heat exchangers, valves, piping.
Review and execute modifications for reliability and capacity enhancement.
Prepare job packages, cost estimates, and manage purchase requisitions in Oracle ERP.
Manage CAPEX, OPEX, and spare parts budget ensuring timely utilization.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and develop strategies.
Required Knowledge & Skills
Strong troubleshooting skills for rotary equipment.
Excellent communication and team-building skills.
Experience in job reporting and plant equipment history maintenance using CMMS/ERP.
Knowledge of petrochemical HSE standards and safety practices.
Ability to prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
Experience with spares inventory management.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE Mechanical).
3-5 years of experience in Fertilizer, Oil & Gas, or related sectors.

HSE & Quality: 1. Personally responsible and committed to ensure safety of his personnel and the company facilities at all times in line with company HSE Policy. 2. Ensure good housekeeping practices in his area of responsibility. 3. Ensure that his area is being operated as per approved Work Procedures and Work Instructions which are developed in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations of Quality management system as defined in Quality Policy.Administrative: 1. Ensure effective utilization of available human and material resources in his area of responsibility. 2. Develop performance and potential of his staff, coaches them regularly, to meet Organizational objectives. 3. Ensure provision of necessary resources to his staff for optimum performance.Technical: 1. Coordinate with Operations and Planning & Scheduling Units for preparation of maintenance schedule for shutdowns. 2. Prepare and implement daily and weekly job plans/Preventive maintenance schedules. 3. Monitor the status of spare parts inventory relevant to his plant in the stores and initiate timely ordering.
